Are we missing a couple of days?
« on: June 24, 2016, 01:12:28 PM »
Is something going wrong on my end, or is the forum missing the last two days of activity? I could've sworn I had messages in my mailbox, and a few of the topics I'd posted in before are missing some replies, I think.

I just wanna be sure if something happened on the server side that reverted the forum back to what it was a couple days ago, or if just I got into some Hunter S. Thompson shenanigans while writing a report on insects and made it all up.
. o O (I think I must agree with Sliss. The "Fat Chance" would have been a perfect name for our ship.)

You're right, your posts are gone from the SCAB thread for sure.

Yeah I'm missing both my sent and received messages from the last two day, and my account settings have reverted.

Yeah for some reason the whole site reset a few days.  It happened to the podcast site and the Community Site got reset too.  Weirdest thing.

Okay, I just talked to site5 support.  The site was migrated over to a new server and they didn't resync the data before going live.  I'll see if I can get the data restored.

Alright Site5 did the resync.  Looks like the forums weren't backed up so we didn't get those back.

Yeah that was weird. It also reset users; it deleted my profile and I had to re-register. Seems like things are back to normal *fingers crossed*.

It's not that it deleted posts.  Site5 migrated our entire site (the forums and the podcast and everything else) to a new server and they used a copy from like last Tuesday or Wednesday so it was probably before you signed up.  This is the first time I've noticed them do this in the 6 or so years we've been here so I'm not expecting it to be a regular occurence.
