On that topic:

From a conversation with James at Arby's-

James: *singing*
Me: Is that a Blast Master cover of "let it go"?
James: Yes.

I just finished it and i bawled a lot and I need to get you the prequel to read first that's the idealest way to read.

I know, that's why I haven't started yet.

I don't know, it was something I'd only heard once or twice before. Given the context, I could only assume it was a trope.

It's okay, Nayt. Colmars have this weird ability to make everything they say sound like a well-remembered quote or reference, even when they're making it up spur of the moment. It's a game I like to play called "Apt or Happenstance?" And it happens about once a conversation.

It does not help the overall feeling that I'm playing rhetorical catch-up every time I try to have a conversation with both of them at once.

I applaud the Animorphs TV show for the effort.  They tried so hard.  They really tried.

And also the theme song.

It's "good"

Look, Christopher Ralph was my first crush and I will continue to love the Animorph's TV show unironically until I draw my last, shaking breath.

Just...don't ask me to re-watch it. I'm not willing to take that risk.

Amongst other things, including a hawk, chameleon, various dogs, cats, rabbits, pigs, ducks and probably some other things I'm forgetting.

At the moment it's a hueg German Shepherd and a tiny Pomeranian who somehow get along famously despite one being quite capable of accidentally inhaling the other.

Dude my mom owned a pet store and I didn't have some of these.

Did have a 25 foot long python, though. I loved that snake.

In the last book I read he ate a plate of nachos and compared it to the time he drank motor oil.

Just thank god he didn't have social media or there would be alien tweet reviews with shitty pictures of food on hooves.

I...may have a fanfiction to write now.

I have vivid memories of his first experience eating Cinnabon.

That settles it. When I go back to New York in a few months I'm reclaiming my Animprphs collection.

Man I remember shit got CRAZY when the Ellimist started fucking with time and space. I also remember a Hork Bajir refuge in a forest and Rachel's mom trying to teach them the alphabet.

I'm excited for new nations but I kinda miss the old language mechanics.

Given the way the fic seemed to be progressing, I have trouble believing a paddle would be used for ping pong.

I thought I ended it tastefully, this isn't a Xebec anime ;D

It was supposed to be a perfectly innocent exotic massage?  It would be innocent for Nadire, I guess.

Turns out "exotic" is Crescent-speak for "bone crushing". Francesca ends up paralyzed for 72 hours.

I'm flattered to be mentioned in the same breath as the inestimable Manda, but this sort of feedback is very much appreciated.  There are many times I still don't think of myself as "creative" or as a "performer", and it's great to feel appreciated.  There is more Edge of the Empire, though it was on hold for quite a while due to some personal issues on my part.  We're also looking to continue, so there will hopefully be even more to come.  The goal is 60 episodes across 3 acts, and we're approaching the halfway point.

Equal levels of awesome, approached from wildly different directions. I am prepared to offer up negotiable percentages of my soul to hear more of Sliss.
