Elyria is this wonderful mix of socially very aware and times when she just lets words leave her mouth with no filter.  This was exhaustion "i'm done with this shit" Elyria who yes gets put through crap at times.

I would say, if you aren't excited by the end of book 2/3 then it just isnt for you. And thats SUPER OKAY!!

Like i'm just in love with it for the female focused storyline and interesting magic and SO MANY GIRL CHARACTERS

Yes. this is why if you look at Chesca's sheet? She has tons of skills that are never used but were useful enough that they COULD have come up? I didn't even buy a sword school and felt strained dumping everything into Sorte

Okay so I tried some of the syrup not in a shot because I'm not a heathen. It was the most delicious thing I had ever tried omg. Like I adore maple sugar candy? So this was just amazing. I'd always tasted 'grade a" and high end maple syrups tasting almost harsh like liquor so this was a wonderful experience.
